Threshold of Light
Threshold of Light
24” x 30” x 1.5” | Mixed Media on Cotton Canvas
There is a moment between where we’ve been and where we’re going—a place where something begins to shift and light finds its way through.
Threshold of Light lives in that space.
Layers of color, texture, and expressive marks create an abstract landscape that feels as though it is continually revealing itself. Areas of depth and shadow give way to lighter passages, drawing the eye inward and creating the feeling of standing at the edge of somewhere new.
Nothing is completely defined. Shapes emerge and recede, inviting you to discover your own pathways, places, and meanings within the painting. What you see from across the room may change entirely when you move closer and begin noticing the history held within its layers.
Created intuitively through mixed media, Threshold of Light speaks to possibility—the quiet moment when we can sense that something is changing even before we know exactly what waits on the other side.
It’s a painting about crossing over, following the light, and trusting what is beginning to emerge.
At 24” × 30”, Threshold of Light has a beautiful presence without requiring a large wall. It can become a focal point in an entryway, bedroom, reading space, living area, or personal sanctuary, bringing depth, movement, and a sense of possibility into the room.
