A Place I Almost Remember
A Place I Almost Remember
12” x 16” x .75” | Mixed Media on Cotton Canvas
Some places feel familiar even when we know we’ve never been there.
A Place I Almost Remember lives in that curious space between memory and imagination—a tiny world that seems to awaken something you can’t quite name.
Rich blues and greens create a sense of earth, water, and distance, while warm touches of orange and unexpected marks emerge throughout the layers. A winding passage draws your eye inward, almost like a path or current leading toward something hidden beyond view.
Look closely and the painting begins to play with you. Is that a path? Water? A structure in the distance? A place you’ve visited—or simply one your imagination has created?
Nothing is completely defined, and that’s part of its magic.
Created intuitively through layers of mixed media, this small original holds an unexpected amount of depth and discovery. Earlier marks remain visible beneath the surface, giving the piece a sense of history—as though this little world existed long before you happened upon it.
At just 12” × 16”, A Place I Almost Remember is perfect for those intimate spaces where a small original can become a quiet treasure: a bookshelf, collected gallery wall, reading nook, bedside space, entryway, or that unexpected little wall that’s been waiting for something special.
