A Glimpse Beyond
A Glimpse Beyond
30” x 40” x 1.5” | Mixed Media on Cotton Canvas
There are moments when the world seems to open just enough to show us something beyond what we first thought was there.
A Glimpse Beyond captures that feeling.
Inspired by the experience of looking through the trees toward the beach, this original mixed media painting transforms a fleeting view of the natural world into something more abstract, layered, and mysterious.
Earthy greens and deep, shadowy passages are interrupted by luminous color and unexpected marks, creating the sensation of looking through rather than simply looking at. Your eye is drawn deeper into the painting, searching through layers and discovering small moments that aren’t immediately revealed.
Hints of landscape remain, but nothing is completely defined. Forms appear and dissolve. Light finds its way through darker passages. What feels like one thing from across the room may become something entirely different as you move closer.
Created intuitively through layers of mixed media, A Glimpse Beyond is an invitation to stay curious—to look past the obvious and notice what might be waiting just beyond it.
At 30” × 40”, this piece has enough presence to become a focal point while still feeling intimate and inviting. It would be beautiful in a living room, dining room, bedroom, entryway, or any thoughtfully collected space where you want art to bring depth, nature, and a little mystery into the room.
